Key responsibilities
- Prepare and grill meats, offal, and vegetables to consistent quality and correct cooking points.
- Set up the grill station at each event and organize equipment, ingredients, and mise en place.
- Light and manage charcoal or wood fires and control heat throughout service.
- Coordinate cooking times with the event team to serve guests efficiently.
- Handle, transport, and store ingredients safely while maintaining the cold chain.
- Keep the cooking area clean, safe, and presentable, particularly during live cooking.
- Support packing, cleaning, and equipment checks after each event.
- Monitor portions and stock levels to minimize waste.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Grill Chef or Parrillero.
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, asado techniques, and cooking points.
- Experience working with charcoal or wood-fired grills.
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume services.
- Flexibility to work at different event locations, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Reliability, punctuality, a positive approach to teamwork, and a professional, friendly manner with guests.
Desirable experience
- Outdoor catering, live cooking, or event experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of traditional Argentinian asado is desirable.
- Butchery and meat-portioning skills are desirable.
Availability
- Seasonal, event-based work during peak season.
- Event dates, locations, and working hours will be shared in advance.
