Requirements of Custodian/Janitor

  • No Experience, No Problem!
  • Effectively communicate with manager and other staff regarding issues and supply needs
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
  • Must be able to pass a background check & fingerprinting

Role of Custodian/Janitor

Maintaining the cleanliness of schools

Cleaning, stocking and sanitizing restrooms

Disposing of trash & recycling

Mopping & sweeping floors

Dusting and surface cleaning

Windows and glass cleaning

Inventory management of supplies

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.

Typical Shift: 4:00pm to 7:00pm OR 9:00pm (Monday through Friday) - 3 or 5 hour routes available
