Role Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with proven experience in infrastructure/Building projects to manage the cost estimation process during the tendering stage. The role focuses on reviewing tender documents, performing accurate quantity take-offs, preparing BOQs, and developing cost breakdowns to support the preparation of competitive and compliant bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Your tasks and responsibilities shall include the following but not limited to:

• Study and review tender documents thoroughly.
• Prepare cost estimations based on BOQs and in-house calculations.
• Break down each BOQ item into core resources – materials, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors.
• Assess overhead costs considering project location, duration, and contract requirements.
• Analyze major material items and major sub-contractors by preparing comparison sheets.
• Raise query for any clarification or information needed.
• Finalize cost estimates and ensure timely submission.
• Estimate the variation orders of company’s ongoing projects.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Estimation for Infrastructure/Building

Skills & competencies:

• Strong experience with construction estimating tools and software to prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs.

Location: Abu Dhabi (Tender Department)
