Role Summary
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential villa renovations, luxury interiors, and commercial office fit-out projects.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of fit-out materials, subcontractor pricing, BOQ preparation, and UAE market rates.
The successful candidate must be capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously while ensuring pricing accuracy, commercial viability, and timely submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documents
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
- Luxury villa renovations
- Interior fit-out works
- Commercial office fit-outs
- Joinery and bespoke interiors
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs
- Prepare tender submissions and commercial proposals
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams during pre-construction
- Identify value engineering opportunities
- Maintain updated pricing databases and supplier lists
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings where required
- Assist in contract handover to operations teams after award
- Monitor market pricing trends within the UAE fit-out sector
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
- Quantity Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Management
- Interior Design or related field
Experience
- 3–8 years’ experience in UAE interior fit-out estimation
- Strong experience pricing:
- Residential villas
- Luxury renovations
- Commercial offices
- Joinery packages
- Experience working with fit-out contractors in Dubai/UAE
- Strong understanding of UAE market suppliers and subcontractors
Technical Skills
- Proficient in:
- AutoCAD
- Excel
- Bluebeam or similar take-off software
- ERP/estimation software preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Fit-out materials
- Joinery
- Ceiling systems
- Flooring
- Glass partitions
- MEP coordination
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of UAE authority requirements and fit-out standards
Soft Skills
- Strong commercial awareness
