Position details
Mechanical estimation engineer in the Estimation / Projects department.
Specialization: fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
The description lists the location as Doha.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates for fire alarm and fire fighting systems.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and tender documents.
- Prepare BOQs and technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations.
- Assist with tender submissions and documentation.
- Review specifications and compliance requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in estimation; fire protection systems experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of relevant NFPA and QCD standards.
- QCD Certified Engineer (Trainee) is preferred.
Skills and tools
- Proficiency in MS Office and estimation tools.
- Experience using AutoCAD to review drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Pay
- QAR 5,000–8,000 per month.
