Job Summary
Entry-level Estimation Engineer role supporting tendering and costing in a manufacturing or construction products environment.
The role is suited to candidates with 1–2 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or costing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and price proposals from architectural drawings and door schedules.
- Cross-verify quantities across drawings, BOQs, and sales orders.
- Maintain and update rate databases for doors and hardware.
- Coordinate with sales and procurement teams on scope clarifications and vendor pricing.
- Identify scope gaps and flag discrepancies during bid preparation.
- Support the sales team with quick-turn estimates for pre-bid enquiries.
Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Production Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in estimation, costing, or quantity surveying.
- Experience with doors, facades, steel fabrication, or building products is preferred.
- Ability to read architectural and shop drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of closers, locks, hinges, and other hardware components is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Tally or SAP is a plus.
