With over 150 welding machines, robotic welding technology, and an aluminium casting facility near Sohar International port producing primary foundry alloys, the company can support complex and large-scale industrial projects.

Role Description
The Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Hamriyah.
This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for engineering and fabrication projects across sectors such as metals and mining, marine and offshore wind, oil and gas, water and power.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, researching material and labor costs, and developing detailed cost breakdowns.
The Estimation Engineer will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine estimates, support tender submissions, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
The role also involves participating in technical and commercial clarification meetings, supporting negotiations, updating cost databases, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimation processes.
Qualifications
- Strong technical foundation in Mechanical Engineering relevant to industrial and Custom plate fabrication, machinery and equipment building, structural projects.
- Proficiency in Project Estimation and BOQ preparation, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and preparation of tender/quotation documents.
- Ability to conduct thorough Research on material, equipment, and labor costs, as well as market benchmarks and vendor pricing.
- Effective Negotiation skills for engaging with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on technical and commercial terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related engineering field.
- Experience with estimation software, spreadsheets, and engineering design documents (drawings, specifications, standards).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in custom plate fabrication, machinery construction, or industrial projects (e.g., Aluminium smelters, oil & gas, metals and mining, water and power) is an advantage.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
