Wood Element Technical Services LLC is seeking an experienced Estimator with an engineering background, estimation skills, and technical ability to prepare and review shop drawings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations from drawings, specifications, and BOQs; review tender documents, architectural drawings, and project requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and other project requirements, and develop shop drawings when required.
- Coordinate with Projects, Production, Procurement, and Design teams; obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare cost comparisons and value-engineering proposals when required; monitor project costs against project scope and specifications.
- Provide technical clarifications during tendering and project execution.
Candidate requirements
- Minimum 5 years of estimation experience and an engineering educational background.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; ability to prepare and understand shop drawings.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQs, costing, and material specifications; good understanding of drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Joinery, furniture, or interior fit-out experience is highly preferred; knowledge of related materials, finishes, hardware, and production processes is an advantage.
- UAE experience is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 7,000 per month.
