About This Role
Overview
- The ESG Manager will lead the development and execution of the companies Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy across all business units in the UAE and regional operations.
- The role will ensure alignment with UAE regulatory frameworks, industry best practices, and international ESG standards, while positioning the Group for enhanced sustainability performance and external ESG ratings, including MSCI.
- Experience in improving MSCI ESG ratings
- Strong knowledge of GHG emissions calculations, particularly Scope 1 and Scope 2
- Ability to establish and implement decarbonization strategies and emission reduction plans
- Experience in designing and standardizing methodologies for Scope 3 emissions and calculations
- Proven track record in driving initiatives related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, and social responsibility
- Experience in developing ESG strategies and frameworks
- Strong background in ESG reporting and compliance, including data collection and annual sustainability reporting
- Ability to assess ESG-related risks (climate, social, etc.)
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or Business
- Master’s degree or ESG certification (preferred)
- 7–12 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, or HSE within construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
- Proven experience in ESG reporting and engagement with rating agencies such as MSCI
- Experience working within UAE regulatory environment is highly preferred Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, IFRS Sustainability/ISSB)
- Familiarity with UAE sustainability regulations and construction standards
- Experience with ESG data systems and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI)
- Understanding of ESG risk, governance, and compliance frameworks
