Role Description
This full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates is for an Equipment Test Engineer.
The Equipment Test Engineer will work closely with the research and development teams across QRDC labs to ensure equipment testing to industry compliance standards, PAT testing, accurate record keeping of PAT test labels and validity of PAT tests.
The role also requires identifying external calibration vendors to ensure a resilient calibration supply chain and ensuring all equipment output data (where applicable) can be trusted.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Test Engineering and electrical/optical Test Execution
- Experience in laboratory equipment calibration, instrumentation support, or electronic test environments
- Familiarity with PAT testing procedures and electrical safety compliance practices
- Experience working with electronic characterization equipment and test instruments
- Exposure to photonics, semiconductor, laser, or advanced R&D laboratory environments is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and maintain organized technical documentation
- Understanding of safety and compliance standards relevant to testing equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Experience in quantum technology or photonics is an advantage
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
