About This Role
Overview
As the
Equipment and Operations Maintenance Technician
you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking equipment, HVAC/Refrigeration and Kitchen Exhaust Hood & Ducts at our customer locations.
Our technicians provide preventative maintenance services & inspections, and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including fryers, ovens, steamers, ice machines, coolers, freezers, commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems, and more.
Essential Job Functions
- Install, Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Commercial Kitchen & HVAC Refrigeration Equipment on a scheduled and emergency basis
- Complete service calls in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management
- Participate in a normal rotation of after-hours and weekend on-call schedule
- Order Parts and Complete Required Paperwork
- Maintain Service Vehicle stock and appearance
- Performs other related duties needed/required to support the mission
- Escort sub-contractor maintenance technicians
- Assist with other Escort duties as needed
Education & Experience
- Three (3) years’ experience in HVAC/Refrigeration and commercial kitchen appliance service and repairs.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment such as; ice machines, reach-in coolers and freezers, refrigerated shipping containers.
- Experience with commercial Kitchen Hood Exhaust systems a huge PLUS!!
License & Certifications
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Internationally recognized HVAC certification (preferred)
- Certification on NFPA Code 96 (preferred)
- Must possess a ServSafe® certification or obtain prior to beginning employment
Knowledge & Skills
- Shall be able to connect and disconnect all utility lines to equipment when required and provide maintenance for the utility line connections’ accessories, attachments, and power cords to include hardwire installations.
- Ability to examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Ability to determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.
- Experience creating tool and part inventories and conditions reports
- Extremely strong customer communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Possess U.S. Passport with 6 months validity (preferred)
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust, high temperatures and humidity.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
