Designs, configures, and supports electronic health record ordering workflows in Epic Orders.
Partners with clinical, operational, and technical teams to translate needs into reliable solutions, support implementations, and troubleshoot issues.
The role aims to make ordering workflows clear and reliable so care teams can place and manage orders efficiently.
Duties
- Analyze business needs and requirements, document workflows, and recommend solution architecture and system design.
- Configure, test, implement, and maintain Epic Orders functionality, integrations, and enterprise solutions.
- Investigate incidents, troubleshoot and debug technical issues, and coordinate resolutions across teams.
- Support integration, data exchange, and reporting using SQL, databases, ETL processes, APIs, and REST and SOAP web services.
- Maintain configuration and version control; contribute to SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and information security practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in business analysis, requirements analysis, software implementation, systems engineering, application development, or related IT work; computer science or equivalent knowledge is helpful.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or NoSQL.
- Scripting or programming experience with Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar is useful.
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, microservices, AWS or Azure, infrastructure, operating systems, networking, security, and system administration is preferred.
- Exposure to Salesforce, Pegasystems, Kubernetes, VMware, Git, Jenkins, Linux, Windows, or other listed technologies is a plus; expertise in every technology is not required.
- Strong cross-functional communication, analytical thinking, and a service-oriented approach to technical problem-solving.
Pay
- Pay is up to USD 60.00 per hour.
