Epic Clinical Sr. Reporting Business Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop Epic Reporting Workbench reports, custom metrics and SQL reports, and operational Radar dashboards.
• Support near-real-time reporting from the Epic production database.
• Partner with technical training staff on training and documentation for Slicer Dicer and Qlik Sense self-service analytics.
• Set and enforce best practices, mentor junior analysts, and help prioritize requests and projects.
• Plan for Epic updates and retirement or conversion of legacy analytics assets.
• Manage project plans and timelines while handling multiple initiatives.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or the specified equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Six years of BI and analytical reporting software experience, including two years with Epic Reporting Workbench reports and Radar dashboards.
• Production-level BI support and/or development experience; strong SQL skills for complex queries on high-volume datasets.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and enterprise data management practices.

Certifications and capabilities

• Epic Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Administration, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model, and one clinical or access data model certification/accreditation are required; certifications may be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently or with a team and explain complex information in simpler terms.
