Environmental Service Technician

Performs multiple cleaning tasks in accordance with Environmental Services procedures and Hospital policies and procedures.

Collects non-medical and medical waste, operates waste autoclave, labels medical waste containers for collection.

Collects corrugated boxes.

May include floor care maintenance and required equipment to maintain floors and carpeting.

Responsible for linen distribution: stocking carts, delivery of clean linen and collection of soiled linen, putting clean linen away on shelves.

Responds to house pages when assigned.

Able to occasionally lift up to and sometimes exceeding 50 pounds.

Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Hours may flex due to needs of the department.

Job requires continuous walking, grasping, frequent reaching and occasional bending, kneeling and squatting
