Environmental Officer

The Environmental Officer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with environmental regulations, standards, and company policies.

The role focuses on implementing, monitoring, and maintaining environmental management systems to minimize the project’s environmental impact and ensure sustainable practices.

· Conducting environmental audits

· Preparing CEMP, WMP, spill response plans

· Site monitoring (emissions, waste handling, housekeeping)

· Coordinating with consultant PWA, and other stakeholders

· Strong communication and report writing

· Daily and weekly environmental reports

· Permit applications and renewals

· Environmental inspections and NCR close-out

· Compliance monitoring and documentation uploads to APMS Conducting environmental audits

· Preparing CEMP, WMP, spill response plans

· Site monitoring (emissions, waste handling, housekeeping)

· Coordinating with consultant PWA, and other stakeholders

· Strong communication and report writing

· IEMA Certificate – Foundation / Associate Level

· ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor – Environmental Management System

· Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 4 years’ experience in:

· Environmental monitoring and site inspections

· Implementation of CEMP on construction sites

· Preparing and submitting environmental reports to Consultant and PWA

Environmental permitting:

· Managing waste, air quality, noise, vibration, and water quality compliance

· Qatar Environmental Protection Law No. 30 of 2002

· QCS 2014 – Section 11 (Environmental Requirements)

· Risk assessment, aspects & impacts, mitigation plans
