🎯 The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Environmental Manager
- to lead environmental management programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives across the organization.
- The ideal candidate will develop environmental strategies, oversee compliance activities, manage environmental risks, and promote a culture of environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
- 🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental management strategies aligned with organizational objectives and sustainability goals
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and company policies
- Lead environmental impact assessments, audits, inspections, and compliance monitoring activities
- Develop and maintain environmental management systems (EMS), policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Monitor environmental performance, emissions, waste management, water usage, energy consumption, and resource efficiency initiatives
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impact
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, facilities, procurement, health and safety, and leadership teams to support environmental objectives
- Manage environmental reporting, regulatory submissions, and sustainability documentation
- Coordinate environmental awareness programs, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor emerging environmental legislation, industry best practices, and sustainability trends to support organizational compliance and innovation
- Prepare environmental performance reports, compliance updates, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- ✅ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Ecology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
- Master's degree or professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate, or equivalent are advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, environmental compliance, or related roles
- 2+ years of experience managing environmental programs, compliance initiatives, or environmental management systems preferred
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, environmental management systems (EMS), ISO 14001, waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability principles
- Experience conducting environmental audits, inspections, compliance reporting, and risk assessments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with environmental monitoring systems, reporting platforms, and data analysis tools is advantageous
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
