Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist role based in Dubai.
The EHS Specialist will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across hospitals, clinics, and related facilities.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring workplace safety conditions, conducting risk assessments and audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable EHS regulations, standards, and internal policies.
The role involves investigating incidents and near misses, preparing reports, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
The EHS Specialist will also deliver safety training, promote a culture of safety among staff, collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams on EHS initiatives, and support emergency preparedness and response planning.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with practical experience applying these principles in healthcare or complex operational environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Experience designing and delivering Safety Training programs for diverse staff groups and ensuring ongoing safety awareness and engagement.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, Public Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent) preferred, along with familiarity with UAE and international EHS standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply EHS data and metrics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and influence safe behaviors.
- Ability to work on-site across multiple facilities in Dubai, manage priorities in a dynamic environment, and support emergency response when required.
