Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Engineer based in Surat.
The EHS Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring effective environmental, health, and safety programs and practices.
Day-to-day tasks include assessing workplace risks, developing safety policies, conducting EHS audits, training employees on health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and addressing potential hazards in the workplace.
The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Qualifications
- BE Chemical and PGDIS with 5 to 7 years industry experience
- Expertise in Health & Safety policies and procedures, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential workplace hazards
- Knowledge and skills in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, with experience in implementing EHS programs
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to interpret environmental and safety regulations to ensure compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and PGDIS from reputed institutes
- Certification in EHS or a related safety program (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus
- Familiarity with industry best practices and standards for environmental health and safety
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
