Entry Level Software Engineering – Agentic AI & Workflow Automation 2027

Introduction

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based services, agents, and tooling for AI workflows and automation.
• Prototype reasoning agents, workflow planners, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation harnesses.
• Contribute to API development, orchestration logic, and system integration.
• Build, configure, and test AI workflows using Kubernetes, vector databases, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate on requirements, troubleshooting, and system performance improvements.
• Document designs, experiments, and findings in engineering artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and demos.

Candidate Profile

• The candidate should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• The role values self-directed problem solving, experimentation, collaboration, and enthusiasm for AI agents and workflow automation.

Required Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Python, including common libraries such as requests, pydantic, pandas, or asyncio.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, debugging, and testing.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems.
• Curiosity and willingness to explore agentic AI, LLMs, and workflow automation frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Experience with AI/ML libraries such as OpenAI SDK, LangChain, Hugging Face, or similar is a plus.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud-native environments is a plus.
• Understanding of vector databases such as Milvus, Pinecone, or Weaviate is a plus.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, distributed systems, data pipelines, workflow orchestration, Git, or CI/CD is a plus.
