The position supports data entry, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, audit processes, and internal reporting for business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Update bank and credit card transactions; analyze financial data for trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information.
- Assist senior accountants with monthly and yearly closings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies; support audits and generate internal reports.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow; strong communication and teamwork abilities.
