Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Review initiatives and assess architecture options, including build-versus-buy decisions.
• Develop solution architectures and blueprints for assigned initiatives.
• Define interaction requirements for application components, subsystems, and interfaces.
• Translate solution requirements into architecture designs that address business, technology, security, and integration needs.
• Evaluate the application portfolio against the relevant business capability model.
• Conduct portfolio rationalization assessments and identify opportunities to reduce duplication, complexity, and technical risk.
• Define target-state or “north star” architecture and transition-state architecture diagrams.
• Develop estimates, sequencing, and roadmaps for transition to the target state.
• Support architecture reviews, governance forums, and design decision documentation.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and build alignment.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and technology direction.
• Provide technical expertise throughout solution development and implementation.

Required Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a related technology architecture role.
• Advanced experience as an Enterprise Technical Architect.
• Experience working in large, complex technology environments.
• Demonstrated experience with portfolio rationalization and target-state architecture definition.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, cloud platforms, data, and enterprise security.
• Experience developing architecture blueprints, transition architectures, roadmaps, and estimates.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Experience working across business and technology teams.
• Familiarity with Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) principles and capability models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking and capital markets.
• Specific experience in fraud technology, fraud risk management, fraud detection, or financial crime solutions.
• Experience evaluating fraud platforms, case management solutions, identity solutions, transaction monitoring, or analytics capabilities.
• Experience with build-versus-buy assessments and vendor solution evaluations.
• Experience with application portfolio rationalization in regulated or highly complex environments.
• Relevant architecture, cloud, security, or industry certifications.
• The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70-$75 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
