What you’ll be doing...
We use digital data as the fuel to propel us beyond our competition. As a Data Scientist, you’ll build analytical models to predict customer behavior or business events. Advising business partners on the implications of your findings, and making recommendations.
Maintaining databases and ensuring data quality.
Promoting process improvement.
What we’re looking for...
You are driven to turn data into stories. Inquisitive and curious, you’re able to extract significant and useful information from massive piles of data, and present it to partners in a clear and compelling way.

Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Experience with SQL or statistical software packages (like SAS, SPSS, or R).
Experience with exploratory big data discovery using Teradata EDW, Aster, Tableau, or Hadoop.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
