Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Engineering Technician role based in Dubai.
The Engineering Technician will support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and industrial exhaust fans, including KOLOWA FRP equipment.
Daily tasks include performing site visits, installing and aligning mechanical and electrical components, conducting functional tests, and using test equipment to verify system performance and safety.
The role involves diagnosing issues, performing troubleshooting and repairs, documenting work performed, and reporting findings to supervisors or engineers.
The technician will also assist with material preparation, basic wiring and soldering, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC and exhaust fan systems.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (e.g., multimeters, clamp meters, airflow and pressure measurement tools) for system verification and commissioning.
- Basic soldering and electrical assembly skills for wiring, connections, and minor component repairs.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and clients, and to document technical findings clearly.
- Certificate or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent practical experience).
- Previous experience in HVAC, industrial ventilation, or related electromechanical fieldwork is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
- Commitment to workplace safety, use of PPE, and compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Ability to work on-site in varying industrial and construction environments, including working at heights where required.
- Valid UAE driving license or willingness to travel between project sites in Dubai and surrounding areas is an advantage.
