Engineering Purchasing Coordinator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the Engineering inventory system.
• Keep stock levels, locations, and supplier details accurate and up to date.
• Set and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels; track usage and replenish critical materials and spare parts.
• Record inventory and tool receipt, issuance, returns, and movement.
• Conduct stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and manage obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
• Coordinate Engineering requisitions and verify specifications, quantities, and documentation.
• Liaise with Purchasing, vendors, Receiving, and Finance to manage orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
• Maintain purchasing and inventory records; provide reports and updates to Engineering management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Engineering coordination, inventory control, purchasing, or a similar operational role.
• Experience in hospitality, facilities management, or a technical/engineering environment is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with inventory or purchasing systems.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and record-keeping accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and spoken English.
• Problem-solving mindset, high integrity, and accountability in managing inventory and purchasing processes.
• Basic knowledge of engineering materials, spare parts, and maintenance equipment.
