Engineering Purchasing Coordinator

Role responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the engineering inventory system for spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
• Keep records current for stock levels, locations, and suppliers; set stock limits and replenish critical items.
• Record inventory receipts, issues, returns, and movements; conduct stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
• Coordinate engineering purchase requisitions and validate specifications, quantities, and supporting documents.
• Work with Purchasing, vendors, Receiving, and Finance to manage orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
• Maintain purchasing and inventory records and report to Engineering management.

Candidate qualifications

• Previous experience in engineering coordination, inventory control, purchasing, or a similar operational role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with inventory or purchasing systems.
• Organized, detail-oriented, accurate in record keeping, and able to manage multiple priorities through completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
• Problem-solving mindset, high integrity, and accountability.
• Basic knowledge of engineering materials, spare parts, and maintenance equipment.
• Hospitality, facilities management, or technical/engineering experience is preferred.
