Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Google Photos Web

Responsibilities

• Define and influence technical direction and long-term strategy in conjunction with other Engineering Managers and Tech Leads, helping the team make balanced trade-offs, and prioritize engineering excellence investments in a systemic way.
• Provide career management and coaching to help your team grow in directions that are exciting to them.
• Partner closely with cross-functional peers such as Product and User Experience (UX) to collaboratively define the goal and strategy for Google Photos on web.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. - 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). - 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role. - Experience building full-stack solutions, platforms or infrastructure. Preferred qualifications: - 2 years of experience managing an engineering team. - 2 years of web development experience.
