Position: Engineering Manager (Automotive)

Location: UAE - Dubai

Role Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead and drive the overall strategy, execution, and performance of the Engineering Department. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective automotive engineering solutions aligned with the company’s OEM-driven “plug-and-play” business model. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex, multi- project environments while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership

• Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business objectives and OEM integration

model

• Establish departmental KPIs, performance metrics, and review mechanisms

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing, multicultural engineering teams

• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

2. Project & Program Management

• Oversee multiple engineering projects ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality

standards

• Manage parallel programs in fast-paced environments with effective prioritization

• Identify and resolve technical and execution challenges proactively

• Ensure proper planning, governance, and milestone tracking across all projects

3. Technical Oversight

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical product development

• Review and approve engineering designs, CAD/CAE models, and technical specifications

• Ensure compliance with automotive standards (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans)• Lead DV/PV testing, EMI/EMC compliance, and product validation activities

4. Process & Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and industry best practices

• Standardize engineering processes, workflows, and documentation

• Maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance

• Drive continuous improvement using data-driven approaches

5. Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Act as the key engineering representative to senior management, OEMs, and global partners

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and stakeholders

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing

• Support supplier development, prototyping, tooling, and manufacturing activities

6. Operations & Financial Management

• Manage engineering budgets and ensure cost-effective execution

• Oversee resource planning and allocation across projects

• Monitor project progress and report status to leadership

• Ensure alignment with global manufacturing and supply chain strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience Required

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in automotive engineering

• At least 10 years in a leadership/managerial role

• Strong background in automotive product development (OEM environment)

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of automotive engineering processes and standards

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks)

• Understanding of vehicle electrical systems (CAN/LIN)

• Experience in DV/PV testing, validation, and compliance standards
