Metallic materials and processes are a significant part of the team's work, but the opportunity is broader. You will bring together experienced technical talent to investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and develop engineering solutions supporting Special Missions aircraft and Gulfstream's in-service fleet.

This is a growth opportunity to lead technical experts, strengthen engineering capability, and solve complex materials and structural challenges that demand deep aerospace experience.

  • Set team priorities, work scopes, schedules, objectives, and deliverables while maintaining technical quality and managing resources.
  • Develop engineering talent through coaching, technical leadership, training, and career development.
  • Lead root cause corrective action and continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Communicate technical issues, solutions, and recommendations to senior leaders, customers, and internal and external partners.
  • Significant engineering experience within an aerospace OEM, aircraft manufacturer, aerospace engineering organization, or organization providing Materials & Processes services to the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of metallic materials, processes, and aircraft components.
  • Experience leading and developing experienced engineers and technical professionals.
  • Working knowledge of composite materials, structures, and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of aerospace nondestructive testing and nondestructive evaluation (NDT/NDE) involving metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience supporting aircraft structures or manufacturing, including areas such as wing, empennage, fuselage, or composite production.
  • Experience solving complex technical problems through root cause corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and customer-facing organizations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
  • Experience with Solumina MRB engineering processes, budgets, resource planning, capital equipment planning, or facility expansion is also valuable.
