Role Overview
Part-time remote Engineering Director role focused on manufacturing and mechanical engineering projects.
Lead engineering initiatives, provide technical leadership, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution for technical quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Guide engineering teams, review designs, analyze performance data, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and establish engineering standards and best practices.
- Mentor team members and contribute to strategic decisions on key projects.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical engineering and manufacturing engineering skills in design, production processes, and process optimization.
- Demonstrated project management abilities covering planning, scheduling, risk management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Robust analytical skills for data evaluation, troubleshooting, and data-driven decisions.
- Experience in remote leadership with distributed teams and digital collaboration tools.
Additional Qualifications
- Proven engineering leadership experience, preferably at director or senior manager level.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with industry standards, quality assurance practices, and safety regulations for mechanical and manufacturing environments.
