Overview
- Own and manage all Engineering & Maintenance related contracts, including:
- OEM support agreements (aircraft, engines, APUs, components)
- Power-by-the-Hour / RPFH / FHS / Total Care-type agreements
- MRO, repair, and engineering service agreements
- Warranty clauses within purchase, lease, and redelivery agreements
- Ensure contracts are clearly interpreted, digitally codified (key terms, SLAs, remedies) implemented, and aligned with operational practices.
- Lead contract governance and lifecycle management, obligations tracking, risk registers, and compliance monitoring with audit ready evidence.
- Support commercial optimization (negotiations, amendments, renewals), leveraging benchmarking, supplier scorecards, and recovery history from an Engineering perspective.
- Establish and manage an end to end warranty framework with standard claim workflows, cycle time targets, and recovery KPIs
- Ensure timely identification, submission, and follow up of claims across aircraft, engines, APUs, components, and cabin systems, with root cause trending to prevent recurrence.
- Maximize warranty recovery and cost avoidance, minimizing leakage through contractual entitlement checks and financial reconciliation.
- Monitor warranty performance and supplier responsiveness; escalate recurring issues and enforce remedies/penalties per contract
- Work closely with Finance to:
- Track warranty credits, compensation, penalties, and commercial remedies.
- Ensure accurate financial recognition of warranty recoveries and contractual credits.
- Support Engineering cost control by identifying contractual leverage and recovery opportunities.
- Prepare financial risk/exposure assessments on contract non performance and Contractual Effectiveness Assessments to inform strategy
- Act as Engineering s commercial interface with:
- OEMs (airframe, engines, components)
- MROs and repair vendors
- Lessors and asset owners
- Lead discussions on contractual performance shortfalls, non-compliance, and remedy enforcement.
- Support escalation strategies for contractual breaches and service failures.
- Support CAMO, Planning, Maintenance, and Quality teams by ensuring contractual alignment with approved processes.
- Support aircraft induction to redelivery lifecycle and heavy checks, ensuring warranty entitlements and remedies are fully leveraged.
- Lead audit readiness by maintaining digital contract/warranty repositories, evidence packs, and traceable approval trails.
