About the role

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC simulations, heat-transfer calculations, and engineering analyses to assess performance and identify improvements.
• Develop, localize, and enhance residential and light-commercial products through prototyping, testing, and evaluation.
• Support implementation of global HVAC systems in Middle East manufacturing facilities and regional engineering programs.
• Contribute to value engineering, cost optimization, benchmarking, physical product comparisons, and teardown analysis.
• Support integration, verification, validation, testing, and qualification across product development.
• Evaluate technical alternatives for performance, cost, risk, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and Carrier engineering processes.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, present recommendations, identify project risks, and support continuous product improvement.

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of HVAC experience, preferably in R&D, new product development, product engineering, or systems engineering.
• Practical experience in HVAC product development, performance evaluation, testing, or manufacturing support.
• Experience with engineering analysis, thermal calculations, simulation, or product optimization.

Essential skills and competencies

• Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, product development, testing, manufacturing, heat transfer, and product design fundamentals.
• Experience with mechanical design and simulation tools such as Creo, CFD software, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to analyze data, evaluate alternatives, solve complex problems, and prepare technical reports.
• Ability to collaborate across projects and regional and global engineering teams; strong written and verbal English.

Preferred qualifications

• Exposure to Middle East and Africa HVAC markets and regional operating conditions.
• Familiarity with AHRI, Eurovent, SASO, and MoIAT standards and certification requirements.
• Experience with large-scale value engineering, cost reduction, benchmarking, or teardown activities.
• Understanding of the NPD lifecycle from concept through design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
