  • Job Description:
  • Pratt & Whitney is seeking methods development engineer in our Systems, Data science & Methods team at the Pratt & Whitney India Engineering Center (IEC) in Bengaluru India. The role will span working with engine module centers and systems engineering teams to develop various tools & methods automation. Main responsibilities include automation of various engineering processes, their validation to improve on engineering workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the current processes, methods & support the automation of engineering workflows.
  • Understand the standard work processes, apply them for development till deployment.
  • Prepare, maintain, or update documentation of methods and tools
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Exhibit the project ownership for the defined milestones in terms of schedules & quality of deliverables.
  • Work with customers to define requirements and trouble shoot issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (with 4+ yr experience) or Advanced degree (with 2+ yr experience) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of structural design tools (Ansys, NX, Teamcenter, Hypermesh).
  • Coding skills in Python, C, C++.
  • Finite Element Modeling and Analysis (Static & Dynamics, Aero-thermal) experience.
  • Good communication skills and working as a team player.
  • Strong learner and provide creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Mechanical design, Aero-thermal, Geometric modeling
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with SCRUM and Agile project management methodologies
  • Experience with GitHub, JIRA or other code management and product management software
  • Ability to interface with customers (internal & external)
  • Onsite: Hybrid Location: Bengaluru
