Engineer - Documentation & Validation (ECM)

Role details

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain product and process documentation to company standards and ECM requirements.
• Support ECN implementation by ensuring documentation accuracy, completeness, and timely release.
• Prepare and update work instructions, product work instructions, labels, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Validate documentation against BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Check work instruction/BOM alignment and help resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in peer reviews, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow document control procedures, quality requirements, and internal governance standards.
• Support product documentation migration, conversion, and maintenance in PLM and ERP systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 1–3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of ECM processes and product documentation practices.
• Understand BOM structures (EBOM, MBOM, PBOM), manufacturing processes, and work instructions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Experience creating, updating, and validating technical documentation using defined standards and templates.
• Familiarity with document validation, BOM alignment, and production readiness checks.
• Working knowledge of PLM and ERP systems such as Windchill, ePM, and Microsoft D365.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
