Immediate 12-month contract opening for an Engineer in Huawei Canada’s Advanced Wireless Technology Wireless Lab in Ottawa.
The team works on pioneering wireless solutions and includes computer engineers and computer scientists.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions and optimize systems for multi-agent communication in AI networks using 6G and Beyond technologies.
- Research project topics with team members and contribute to standards including IETF, 3GPP, IEEE, and ETSI.
- Build software prototypes, proof-of-concept code, and demonstrations.
- Document findings, contribute to technical discussions and reports, develop patents, and publish results in standards bodies and reputable venues.
- Continuously learn and update technical knowledge.
Ideal candidate
- Master’s or PhD in electrical and computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong engineering, networking, and computer science fundamentals; knowledge of multi-agent networks and AI ecosystems.
- Strong software design and programming ability; research, analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of A2A or MCP protocols, AI libraries such as LangChain, LangGraph, crewAI, or AutoGen, graph theory, and data structures.
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards and stack; background in wireless or computer networks.
Compensation
- Total target annual compensation ranges from CAD 104,000 to CAD 154,000, depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
