Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Energy Monitoring & Dispatch Operator role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Energy Monitoring & Dispatch Operator will oversee real-time monitoring of energy usage, power flows, and system performance across facilities and connected assets.
Responsibilities
include operating control room systems, tracking energy demand and supply, and making timely dispatch decisions to optimize power generation, storage, and consumption.
The role involves analyzing data from SCADA/monitoring platforms, identifying anomalies or inefficiencies, and escalating issues to engineering or maintenance teams as needed.
The operator will prepare daily reports, maintain accurate logs, support implementation of energy management strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations within regulatory and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret real-time data, identify trends, and make informed operational decisions.
- Foundational knowledge of the Energy Industry and Energy sectors, including key concepts, terms, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience or education in Energy Management, including monitoring consumption, efficiency initiatives, and cost optimization.
- Understanding of Power Generation processes and systems, preferably including dispatch, grid interaction, or plant operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Power Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Comfort working in a control room or operations environment, with readiness to work shifts, weekends, or holidays if required.
- Proficiency with monitoring/SCADA tools, spreadsheets, and reporting software; familiarity with data visualization is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in utilities, renewables, industrial energy systems, or dispatch operations is preferred but not mandatory.
