Job Responsibilities
- Manages an active desk of litigated and complex liability claims under business owner policies
- Analyzes coverage issues under the Workers Compensation and Businessowners coverage forms, and other standard industry forms and endorsements
- Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders
- Expeditiously analyzes and positions claim under applicable coverage
- Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate level for claims
- Uses good judgment in managing ALAE in claims investigation
- Appropriately documents claim files in accordance with established guidelines
- Strategize claims towards appropriate resolutions while maintaining regular contact with stakeholders
- Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses, as required

Qualifications
- Performance Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including proper grammar usage and imparting information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Familiar with complex medical injuries, records review, and treatment plans
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
- Promptly responds to inquiries with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a collaborative and cooperative approach
- Ability to multi-task and effectively deal with interruptions
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Microsoft and internet applications
- Highly attentive to details
- Able to work under pressure and execute good judgment in sensitive situations
- Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree + a minimum of 5 years of experience OR a Juris Doctorate + a minimum of 3 years of experience
- CPCU or other industry designation a plus
- State adjuster license required
- 3+ years prior general liability or workers compensation claims adjusting experience required

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
