MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout instore using either self-checkout via their own smartphones, or using MishiPay's industry leading, minimalist, low cap-ex kiosks.

We are creating an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.

MishiPay now also runs Mobile POS, Click and Collect and Cash registers, so that merchants, who initially start with our self-checkout, can eventually run their whole store checkout process on MishiPay.

With our technology, retailers have proven reductions in cost, due to requiring fewer cashiers, a marked increase in sales due to improved basket sizes, higher frequency of shopper visits and reduction in abandoned baskets, and in addition, all our retailers can access rich and priceless data about their customers.

This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores.

Our key growth markets are the US and EMEA and as such, as we're looking for key individuals to make an impact within our talented, driven team.

About You

  • To help build our revenue, we're looking for another successful full-time
  • B2B Account Executive or Business Development Manager with demonstrable experience in POS / retail software / retail technology and selling to retailers within EMEA,
  • who loves the startup ecosystem and retail tech!
  • You should already have Sales and Business Development skills within a tech startup, and have some market knowledge of our target retail customers within the EMEA region.
  • You'll understand what it's like to work in a high-growth environment, be happy to be hands-on, comfortable with pace and change, and ultimately show a clear success record of generating revenue within a business such as ours.
  • You'll be driven, energetic and happy to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You'll have knowledge and experience of retail technology and be able to explain our products clearly, concisely and persuasively.
  • You will be responsible for:
  • Managing and growing customer accounts, building long-term relationships across a variety of retailers.
  • New business development. You'll be adept at generating your own Sales revenue from scratch, using your established contacts to reach out, build and nurture lucrative and successful business relationships with retailers.
  • Meeting sales targets and KPI's.
  • Communicating product information to potential customers, explaining MishiPay's technology to non-technical and technical contacts at all levels.
  • Conducting market research on competitors and similar in-house products developed by retailers.
  • Managing your own Sales administration process.
  • Working with the rest of the international team throughout the Sales cycle, to ensure we have the best chance of success and closing business.
  • Creating and delivering your own Business Development plan.

You Will Have

  • Sales and business development skills within a tech startup, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets - please ensure your CV reflects your success and includes all the data we need to know!
  • You MUST have experience of POS or very similar retail tech
  • Deep knowledge of the EMEA market in terms of target retailers.
  • A proven success rate of net revenue increase YOY >100%.
  • Experience /market knowledge of the retail industry, particularly in-store retail technology.
  • Influential communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to manage your own time to meet your target.
  • Problem solving, engineering mindset proven in past experiences.
  • Ability to work long hours required in a start up, and a passion to help us meet our ambitious goals.
  • An ability to manage existing relationships and growth of existing clients.
  • Technical background preferred.
