Role Overview

Develop reliable embedded software and firmware solutions for next-generation electronic products.

Work across firmware architecture, low-level programming, hardware integration, system validation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design embedded firmware for microcontrollers, processors, and intelligent electronic devices; translate requirements into specifications and technical designs.
  • Develop low-level firmware, hardware abstraction layers, peripheral drivers, and embedded applications using C, C++, or other suitable languages.
  • Integrate firmware with hardware, validate system functionality, and troubleshoot integration issues with hardware engineers.
  • Implement communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and wireless protocols where applicable.
  • Develop RTOS applications and configure peripherals, timers, interrupts, DMA, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and communication interfaces.
  • Debug and isolate faults using JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other tools; analyze system performance, memory, processing, power, and response times.
  • Optimize firmware reliability, efficiency, scalability, and resource use; develop and execute unit, integration, functional, and system tests.
  • Create automated test scripts and validation procedures; support prototypes, engineering builds, verification, and production testing.
  • Investigate field issues, defects, system failures, and intermittent hardware-software problems; conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Manage firmware versions and release branches; conduct code reviews and maintain architecture, interface, test, and release documentation.
  • Support deployment, product updates, bootloaders, and over-the-air updates where applicable; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate embedded platforms and tools and improve firmware architecture, development methods, testing, and product reliability.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in embedded systems, firmware engineering, embedded software, or electronic product development.
  • Strong C and C++ programming experience and understanding of microcontroller architecture, memory, interrupts, timers, peripherals, and real-time processing.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M, ARM Cortex-A, or other embedded processor architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, or Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Device-driver and hardware-abstraction-layer experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, or similar systems.
  • Experience with embedded development environments, compilers, debuggers, and flashing tools; proficiency with Git or other version-control systems.
  • Understand embedded software architecture, modular design, and coding standards; interpret schematics, datasheets, reference designs, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; familiarity with automated, unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Embedded Linux, bootloaders, device trees, Linux device drivers, low-power design, firmware security, or embedded cybersecurity knowledge is advantageous. IoT, consumer electronics, automotive, industrial automation, robotics, medical-device, or telecommunications experience is advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive employee benefits.
  • Work on advanced embedded products and intelligent electronic systems with modern development boards, test equipment, software tools, and engineering platforms.
  • Professional training, technical certifications, and continuous development in firmware architecture, embedded programming, debugging, and system design.
  • Participation in the complete product development lifecycle and collaboration with hardware, software, QA, manufacturing, and product teams.
  • Career progression opportunities into senior, architect, technical lead, or engineering management roles; performance recognition and long-term advancement.
