The company’s scope covers design, ELV product supply, installation, testing and commissioning, as well as operation, maintenance, and after-sales service.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for ELV Technicians located in Doha, Qatar.
The ELV Technicians will install, configure, and test ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, fire alarm, and related low-voltage systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
include reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, pulling and terminating cables, mounting and connecting devices, and performing system integrations.
The role also involves conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, repairing or replacing components, and supporting testing and commissioning activities.
ELV Technicians will coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on-site, complete documentation and reports, and provide basic end-user guidance when required.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in installation, configuration, Testing and maintenance of ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, structured cabling, public address, and fire alarm systems).
- Ability to read and interpret ELV drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals, and to follow project specifications and method statements.
- Hands-on skills in cable pulling, termination, labeling, device mounting, panel wiring, and use of relevant hand and power tools.
- Competence in basic testing, troubleshooting, and fault-finding using multimeters, continuity testers, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Understanding of relevant safety standards and site safety practices, including working at heights and in construction environments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with site supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.
- Minimum of a technical diploma/ITI or equivalent qualification in electrical, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Previous ELV or low-voltage experience in construction, infrastructure, or facilities projects in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
- Valid Qatar or transferable residency and the ability to work full-time on-site in Doha.
- Professional certifications or vendor trainings in ELV or security systems
- Manadatory requirements
