Job Description
The ELV Technician with BMS experience is responsible for installing, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Extra Low Voltage systems, with a primary focus on Building Management Systems (BMS).
The goal is to ensure automated facility systems, HVAC controls, and security networks operate at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Experience in the operation, troubleshooting, field device replacement, and cable testing of Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, IP, KNX, and other related systems.
- Experience in cable testing, field device troubleshooting/replacement, and third-party interface integration for Fire Alarm Systems.
- Experience in the replacement and troubleshooting of relays, control circuits, pumps, and motor control circuits (MCC).
- Working knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of Lighting Control Systems, Access Control Systems, and other ELV systems.
Work Experience & qualifications
- A minimum of two to three years’ experience working in a similar environment and with experience in ELV and BMS systems (CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Networking).
- Technical qualifications or equivalent would be preferred
