The role designs, estimates, implements, and manages ELV systems, including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and home automation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed ELV system designs and layouts based on project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local standards such as SIRA and international regulations.
- Conduct site surveys to understand system needs and prepare technical drawings.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of ELV systems.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to support timely project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and budgets and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Oversee integration of ELV systems for seamless functionality.
- Test and hand over systems to clients with necessary documentation.
- Provide technical support for maintenance contracts and system upgrades; troubleshoot complex issues.
- Train team members and mentor junior engineers and technicians on safety and technical standards.
- The overview also identifies design, estimating, site inspections, quality control, and BOQ preparation as role activities.
Qualifications and skills
- At least 2 years of ELV or CCTV systems experience in Dubai, with a record of project delivery.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or IT Engineering is listed; the education section marks a bachelor’s degree as preferred.
- SIRA Certified Engineer is listed; the certification section marks SIRA certification as preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, PA systems, and home automation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Hands-on experience with Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar brands.
Compensation and employment
- Full-time role.
- Salary is AED 2,000–3,000 per month.
