ELV Commissioning Engineer
About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior ELV/ICT Commissioning Engineer to join our team for upcoming large-scale projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that complex Extra Low Voltage and Information Communication Technology systems, including data networks, security (CCTV/Access Control), fire alarms, and AV systems, are installed, integrated, tested, and handed over according to design intent and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, execute, and manage the testing and commissioning (T&C) phases for all ELV and ICT systems.
- Develop, review, and execute ELV commissioning plans, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Coordinate ELV/ICT T&C activities closely with main contractors, specialized sub-contractors, design consultants, and clients.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor network and cabling installation progress, identify integration issues early, and track punch-list items through to successful resolution.
- Oversee and witness functional performance testing for active and passive network components, life safety integrations, and security systems, as well as integrated system testing (IST).
- Ensure all testing procedures and documentation align with international standards and project specifications, leading up to a successful final handover.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in testing and commissioning for large-scale commercial, educational, or industrial projects.
- Deep technical knowledge of active ICT components, fire alarm networking, building security systems, and complex systems integration.
- Strong familiarity with international technology and telecom standards (such as BICSI, TIA) and local regulatory codes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate diverse teams and resolve technical roadblocks on-site.
