Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for Elevator Service Technicians/Troubleshooters based in Dubai.
The role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance on elevators and escalators, including inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and replacement of parts to ensure safe and reliable operation.
The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, carry out repairs, and test equipment to confirm proper performance and compliance with safety standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to service calls, attending breakdowns, documenting work performed, and coordinating with supervisors, engineers, and other field staff.
The role also involves interacting with customers or site representatives, explaining work completed, and ensuring a professional, safety-focused presence at all times.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills, including preventive and corrective maintenance of elevators and escalators.
- Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in elevator and escalator equipment.
- Field Service experience, including on-site diagnostics, repairs, and working in diverse building and construction environments.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with clients, site managers, and end users, and to represent the company professionally.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering (or equivalent vocational training).
- Knowledge of elevator safety codes, standards, and best practices, with a strong commitment to occupational health and safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and service documentation.
- Physical ability to work at heights, in shafts, and in confined spaces, and to handle tools, equipment, and components safely.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in elevator/escalator installation, service, or maintenance is preferred.
- Valid UAE (or transferable) driving license and willingness to work shifts, on-call rotations, and emergency call-outs as needed.
