Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Dubai.
The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial facilities, including wiring, distribution boards, lighting, and control systems.
Typical responsibilities include reading and interpreting electrical drawings, performing routine inspections, diagnosing faults, and carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance.
The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations, and documenting work performed.
The Electrician will collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians to support project schedules and minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe electrical practices, with a solid understanding of power distribution and load management.
- Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, panel terminations, and equipment connections.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical systems, with the ability to perform both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical faults, identifying root causes, and implementing effective, timely solutions.
- Background in electrical engineering concepts sufficient to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices for working in industrial environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, handle physical tasks, and use electrical tools and test equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in industrial or commercial electrical roles in the GCC region is an advantage.
