Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, technical datasheets, cable schedules, bills of materials, and mechanical drawings.
• Assemble panels and subassemblies, modify enclosures, and mount and label industrial control components.
• Fabricate and wire panels; route wires and conduit according to drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Install control panels, cables, harnesses, and motors on standalone machines and conveyor lines.
• Start up, test, and commission fluid power systems; set pressures and flows and troubleshoot.
• Power up, commission, and troubleshoot machines and electrical equipment.
• Inspect wiring and components, find defects, test panels, and make adjustments based on test results.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and applicable NEC, UL, and CE requirements; maintain a safe and tidy work area.
• Operate assembly tools and shop equipment, record job and time activity, and assist with packing, shipping, and receiving.

Requirements

• At least 2–5 years of automated equipment assembly and electrical panel-building experience, or recent graduation from a related post-secondary program.
• Supply basic hand tools such as a wrench set, wire strippers, ferrule crimper, and screwdrivers.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and standard electrical assembly practices, with training in electrical safety procedures.
• Familiarity with panel-building phases through customer handover.
• Self-driven and ambitious, with strong attention to detail.
