Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Al Hamriyah-Sharjah-UAE.
The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components on micro tunneling and related heavy equipment.
Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
The role involves reading and interpreting electrical drawings, coordinating with mechanics and engineers, and advising on upgrades or modifications to improve equipment reliability.
The Electrician will also mentor junior technicians, keep accurate maintenance records, and support commissioning and testing activities on-site.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electricity and electrical principles, including safe work practices and standards.
- Proven experience in electrical work on industrial or heavy equipment, including installation and wiring.
- Hands-on skills in maintenance & repair, with the ability to plan and execute preventive maintenance.
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities for complex electrical faults on machinery and control systems.
- Understanding of electrical engineering concepts related to motors, drives, control panels, and PLC-based systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals, use diagnostic tools and test equipment confidently.
