Position summary
Electrical Site Engineer role based in Sharjah, UAE, for industrial and plant projects.
The engineer oversees electrical installation, supervises site teams, coordinates stakeholders, and ensures work meets project plans, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The role involves frequent travel to project sites and client locations.
Site execution
- Supervise substation installation and maintenance and execute electrical work for industrial and plant projects.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, inspectors, and other departments; arrange material and work inspections with consultant inspectors.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings, schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Supervise manpower, allocate tasks, and monitor productivity.
- Supervise installation of MV/LV transformers, electrical panels, and cable containment systems.
- Oversee MV/LV cable laying, glanding, and termination activities.
- Identify faults and coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Monitor work progress, material consumption, and resource utilization, ensuring timely completion.
Qualifications and requirements
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial or plant electrical projects.
- Practical experience with substations, MV/LV systems, transformers, electrical panels, and cable installation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Strong site supervision, coordination, and communication skills.
- Must currently be based in the UAE and hold a valid UAE driving license.
- Frequent travel to project sites and client locations is required.
- UAE project experience is preferred.
- Hindi, Arabic, or other language proficiency is advantageous.
Work location
- Sharjah, UAE, with frequent travel to project sites and client locations; the interview process is face-to-face and includes three rounds.
