Role Description
This part-time, on-site Electrical / Mechanical Supervisor / Production Manager role is based in Dubai and focuses on overseeing maintenance and production activities for defence-related equipment and systems.
The role includes supervising technical teams, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring that maintenance and production work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with relevant standards and technical specifications.
The supervisor/manager will coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance, conduct and review inspections, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status.
This position will also support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, recommending technical or procedural improvements, and collaborating with engineering, logistics, and quality teams.
The role involves enforcing safety and compliance requirements, providing technical guidance to team members, and communicating progress, risks, and resource needs to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task allocation, performance monitoring, and coaching in technical environments.
- Demonstrated experience in preventive maintenance, with the ability to plan, schedule, and optimize maintenance routines for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven maintenance management capabilities, including work order coordination, resource allocation, and maintenance documentation and reporting.
- Hands-on experience in inspection and maintenance of electrical and/or mechanical equipment, with a focus on reliability, safety, and compliance with technical standards.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with defence, aerospace, industrial, or heavy equipment environments and applicable safety and quality standards is an asset.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation, and to use common diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse team.
