Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist at The Electronics Group.
The EHS Specialist will develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs that support member organizations and align with local regulations and industry best practices.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, overseeing workplace safety evaluations (virtually and in coordination with on-site contacts), and monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
The role involves preparing reports and documentation, tracking EHS metrics, and recommending corrective and preventive actions where needed.
The EHS Specialist will also design and deliver safety training, support incident investigations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, member companies, and relevant authorities to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, including risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Proficiency in Workplace Safety practices, including hazard identification, control measures, and safety performance monitoring.
- Experience delivering Safety Training, including developing training materials and facilitating virtual or in-person sessions for diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and member organizations.
- Familiarity with electronics industry operations, supply chains, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
