Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector specializing in streetlighting systems to join our Roads Operations and Maintenance team in Doha, Qatar.
- In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of streetlighting infrastructure, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, and maintaining the safety and functionality of lighting systems across our road networks.
- Conduct regular and systematic inspections of streetlighting systems, fixtures, and electrical components along road networks
- Test and evaluate electrical equipment using specialized testing instruments to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
- Document inspection findings, defects, and maintenance requirements in detailed reports using established protocols
- Identify electrical hazards, safety violations, and non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Verify that all streetlighting installations meet applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely remediation of identified issues and defects
- Maintain organized records of inspection schedules, results, and follow-up actions
- Perform quality assurance checks on newly installed or repaired streetlighting systems
- Investigate reported lighting failures and malfunctions to determine root causes
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrical inspector or in a similar electrical inspection role
- Demonstrated expertise in streetlighting systems and road lighting infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable to streetlighting
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in electrical inspection or related electrical field
- Experience with streetlighting maintenance and repair operations
- Familiarity with municipal or government infrastructure standards
- Experience with computerized inspection and reporting systems
- Knowledge of local Qatar electrical regulations and standards
